Kathy Liebert, one of the world’s top female poker stars, has been explaining how she finds the growth of online poker play “amazing”.
Liebert is a major force to be reckoned with in the poker world and her impressive CV contains moments such as a $1 million-plus win in one tournament victory and also her notable win to claim a WSOP bracelet.
On the subject of the popularity of online poker, Liebert said: “I think the growth of the game, especially online has been amazing.”
She commented: “People can learn how to play poker so fast thanks to the internet. Anyone can play nowadays.
“The growth has been great for the game and I really hope it continues to bring new players to the tables.”
Liebert is not only a big tournament player but is also spearheading the online poker gaming movement as a sponsored representative of the popular online poker site InterPoker, Poker News reports.
Formally involved in the corporate world, Liebert turned her hand to poker and began an illustrious career that has included a number of high points including her victory last March at the Poker Royale: Battle of the Sexes tournament.
She beat 11 other men and women in the meeting to cement her international reputation as one of poker’s finest and there was also the small matter of a cheque for $100,000 in her back pocket!
