The gambling world is well known for publicity stunts which catch the eye but the most recent offering must get some points for effort.

This is because a Louisianan casino called L’Auberge du Lac has dug up chart favourites The Village People for a reunion gig on March 2nd.

That’s right, if you happen to be in the Louisiana area you can meet up with the sailor, Red Indian, policeman, fireman and even the leather-clad biker and “hang out with all the boys”.

Made famous for camp classics such as YMCA, In the Navy and Macho Man, the band will play out to their loyal fans with the Contraband Bayou as their background.

The aptly named Boogie on the Bayou concert looks set to be a raucous affair. Let’s hear it now – Y-M-C-A!
