Poker player gives president wacky baccy
A Canadian poker player was caught attempting to deliver 3kg of marijuana to the country’s president.
John Turmel, a professional poker player and also an advocate for the legal medicinal use of marijuana, took the package to the Canadian Parliament as a political statement calling for the substance’s legalization in 2003.
Unfortunately President Chretien and his cronies opted not to roll some doobies and collapse in a fit of giggles.
Instead, Mr Turmel was given a $1,000 fine, three years probation and also 100 hours of community service after he was found guilty of possessing marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.
Wonder if Mr Turmel’s extracurricular habits affect his poker playing abilities?
