UK player wins twice in New Zealand
Alan Goodrum, a small town UK poker player, made his presence felt at a recent series of poker events in New Zealand.
Rather than just one run of luck, Goodrum surprised the crowd by winning not one but two tournaments at the New Zealand Poker Championships.
As well as winning the main event, Goodum was also victorious in the Peter Peko Memorial tournament for which he won $4,575.
The main event at the New Zealand Poker Tournaments saw Goodrum emerge victorious after surprisingly early exits from Lee Nelson and Gary Benson.
Goodrum won $37,824 for his efforts in the main event.
