One man from Yorkshire in the UK is set to leave his home town for the trip of a lifetime – with a potential £10 million prize waiting for him!
Property developer Wayne Marsh has landed a dream ticket to the World Series Poker in Las Vegas thanks to a wildcard entry and the Brit is now heading across the Atlantic to take on the cream of American and world poker players.
The father of four has won a wildcard entry into the tournament, despite only turning semi-professional 18 months ago!
Now he and his family are on for the trip of a lifetime as he looks to take on the biggest names in poker when the game starts in July.
And Wayne is determined to make the most of his wildcard entry. He told the Star in Sheffield: “I’ve been in training for a while now.
“I haven’t been going out boozing and I’ve made sure I’ve got to bed early. I’ve also been working on my attention and focus. I’ve been reading about self-hypnosis and zen.”
So watch out Las Vegas, this is one serious poker player on his way to shake up the traditional poker hierarchy and put Britain’s Yorkshire Dales on the poker playing map!
