PokerNews launches Danish site

PokerNews has announced the launch of a Danish version of its site.

The new addition brings the number of languages offered by PokerNews to 14, including two in different Chinese dialects.

The new offering will allow fans in Denmark to keep up to date with the latest goings on in the poker world and is further evidence, if it were needed, that poker is a truly global game.

“The people of northern Europe have shown as much passion for the game of poker as any area in the world,” said PokerNews’ chief executive officer Damon Rasheed.

“With top players like Gus Hansen hailing from Denmark, the Danish people have demonstrated a strong demand for knowing what’s going on in the poker world.”

It is hoped that two more alternate language sites will be unveiled before the end of the year, with more are planned for 2007.
